Himachal is one of the norther states of India with 12 districts in it and lies in the western Himalayas.

Not only this Himachal also has Shimla – Kalka Train (UNESCO World Heritage Site), McLeod Ganj (Home of Dalai Lama), Khajjiar (one of the 160 locations in the world that bear topographical resemblance with Switzerland), Lahaul – Spiti (Cold desert).

Talking about experience to traveler, Himachal has Skiing, Paragliding, rafting, Trekking, mountaineering, Tabo Monastery (One of holiest place in the world for Buddhists), Breathtaking View of Himalayas, Yak ride, Hidimba Temple, waterfalls and many more.

Lahaul – Spiti (Two districts of Himachal), they are full of experiences. It is cold desert. There are two ways to enter one from Manali and another from Kinnaur District. Route from Manali gets closed from Sep mid till June end, because of snow on the route. But you can travel Lahaul -Spiti from April till November.

It has lot to offer to tourist like Tabo Monastery (One of holiest place in the world for Buddhists), Hikkim (World’s highest post office), Gue (home to appx. 500 years old mummy), Chicham Bridge (Asia’s highest Bridge) and many more. While travelling on this route you should be proud to be travelling on World’s 2nd highest motorable road. Moreover sightseeing, Lahaul- Spiti is about the journey and the breathtaking views. Sleeping in camps near Chandertal lake in chilling weather with millions of stars above you. You need at least 7-8 days to cover this part of Himachal properly.

Himachal has no season or off season, because it is favorite among tourists in all weather. But Himachal tour Package price are less from November to March, whereas Christmas, New Year and Valentines Day are high peak season. But don’t let month decide your destination because Himachal has to offer in all months.
